Type A Containers
Brent Packaging & Logistics Ltd. is now able to provide exceptional nuclear storage and transportation containers manufactured in Canada. With an exclusive source headquartered in Mississauga, Ontario, Brent can rapidly deploy containers anywhere in North America. These Containers come with certification substantiating that they meet all of the applicable CNSC and IAEA standards.
The IAEA compliant Type A storage and shipping containers are built to the highest quality standards. Our exclusive source satisfies the requirements of the CNSC Regulation SOR/2000-208, and IAEA Regulations for the Safe Transport of Radioactive Material TS-R-1.
These Type A Containers are manufactured under the highest quality standards and systems, including the following:
- Design organizations shall have a QA Program meeting the requirements of NCA-4000 and NQA-1.
- Welding is done to CSA W47.1 or ASME Section IX.
The Type A Container’s design features consist of easy transportation with secure attachments, high tensile strength lifting attachments, provisions to affix external seals, HEPA filter venting, inspection ports and positive fastening.
